Automotive Photography Studio Luminous Light Box Project
An automotive photography studio concept using large luminous light boxes to create broad, diffused light and cleaner reflections across vehicle bodywork during photo and video shoots.
Luminous surfaces built for photographing reflective vehicles
Cars reflect the shape of every light source around them. In a photography studio, that makes the lighting surfaces part of the image itself. Large diffused panels can create longer, smoother highlights along doors, roofs, and curved body panels while giving the shooting area a clean, controlled visual background.
How the automotive studio lighting was planned around the camera

Site Need
What this project had to solve
Small or exposed fixtures can appear as hard points in paint and glass, forcing photographers to spend more time adjusting angles or removing distracting reflections later. The studio needed broad lighting surfaces that could support full-car views, detail shots, and changing vehicle positions without making the space feel cluttered.

CHANLY Solution
How the Lighting System Was Matched
The case concept combines large-format luminous ceiling sections with wall-mounted fabric light boxes. Translucent faces and concealed LEDs create broad sources of light, while the placement of each panel can be coordinated with vehicle positions, camera angles, and access around the set. Supplemental task lights can be added when a specific detail requires a more directed reflection.

Project Result
What Changed After Installation
The luminous surfaces give the studio a calmer lighting environment and help create more continuous reflections on vehicle panels. Photographers have a clearer starting point for arranging each shot, and the simple ceiling-and-wall treatment keeps attention on the vehicle rather than on visible studio equipment.
